Question- Why are the ringtones showing up in the Podcasts section of iTunes on my computer?
Answer- You must save the ringtone to your computer first. Make sure NOT to drag the ringtone from your webmail (Gmail, Yahoo mail, etc) directly into iTunes or iTunes thinks it's a URL to a Podcast.
Question- Why haven't I received my ringtone?
Answer- If you do not see our email within ten minutes, it was probably placed into your Spam/Junk/Bulk folder. Some email systems incorrectly mark our email as Spam. You can try to add the following email accounts to your email friends list: do-not-reply@iphone.toneaphone.com and support@toneaphone.com
Also, please make sure everything is spelled correctly. You must enter the full email address for example: John_Smith@toneaphone.com. A common issue is a misspelled email address or the .com was missing.
Question- Why did I not receive the ringtone file attachment in my email?
Answer- Rather than send emails with the actual ringtones attached, we send links to download them . Once you click the URL located in the email, select where you want to save the file. However, some browsers will require you to right click or double click on the URL to download
Note: Please make sure to download the file to an actual computer and open through iTunes (NOT your iPhone)
Question- Why won't it accept my email address when I request a ringtone?
Please make sure your Internet connection is working. If you are using a local area network rather than a 3G network and, your network may be restricting your iPhone access to the web. You can check your Internet connection by going to the following website: http://www.toneaphone.com. If you do not see the website you are being restricted at some capacity.
Question- Why won't my ringtones sync from iTunes to my iPhone?
Answer- If you have a red exclamation mark next to each ringtone, it can be one of two reasons:
Reason 1: The original file was either moved or deleted. iTunes requires the original file to remain in the same location after they are copied into the iTunes ringtone folder.
Reason 2: It may be that you don't have iTunes configured properly to transfer the ringtones. Once your iPhone is connected to your computer, open iTunes and select "Devices" located on the left-hand side of the screen. Next, select the sub-category with your iPhone listed. Please click on that and make sure you have "Sync Ringtones" and "All Ringtones" options are selected.
Question- How can I use Toneaphone Ringtones for text messages and alerts?
Answer- Currently, custom text message alerts are not allowed for the iPhone. However, iPod touch users may use Toneaphone Ringtones as text alerts for phone models that allow it.
